As part of the groundbreaking Design; Disruption; Divergence exhibition at AUB, Error 404: Humanity Not Found challenges audiences to rethink the boundaries between human creativity and artificial intelligence. Directed by Fiona Bavinton and produced by Clare Cahill, this AI-driven short film is both a conceptual exploration and a practice-based experiment in Explainable AI (XAI).

Through AI-generated scripts, visuals, and music, the film interrogates themes of autonomy, sentience, and obsolescence. With initial ideas developed via ChatGPT-4, visual storytelling refined through Midjourney, and AI-driven sequences crafted in RunwayML, the project exemplifies human-AI collaboration. Yet, the final curation was distinctly human—raising vital questions about authorship and agency in digital art.
